Work towards practicing yoga, breathing techniques every day, do in-depth pranayama, based on individual self-practice. Introspect deeply and discover the heart of hatha yoga practice. 

 

This course is an interesting and innovative programme of classical yoga (Asana), classical pranayama, balanced by the study of classical yogic scriptures. 

 

This is a unique opportunity to experience a heightened level of consciousness, increased energy, sharpened senses, improved memory, clarity of mind, deep humility, contentment, joy and lightness of being.

 

The course demands self-discipline and you are guided according to your individual needs.

Location

We will gather in Govardhan Ecovillage - one of the best wellness ashrams in India - located at the foothills of the Sahyadri mountain ranges.

 

 A place of natural harmony to release, refocus and recalibrate the self, Govardhan Ecovillage is crafted in colours of the Earth and in harmony with the land that nurtures her. It is an ideal environment for the Yoga Retreat that will nourish the body, mind and soul. 

It is a place that houses several eco-friendly initiatives spread over 100 acres and has been awarded by United Nations for its various sustainable development initiatives. International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISCKON) have built the Ecovillage and are led by the principles of humility and sustainability - their mission being to serve and propagate the benefits of India’s age old traditions of Yoga, Meditation and Ayurveda to the whole world.

Yoga & Breathwork: ASANA & PRANAYAMA

Note: This course will provide 90 hours of Continued Education Points (CEP) with Yoga Alliance.

You can only attain CEP if you are already a certified RYT-200 Yoga Teacher. If you are currently certified with another industry body, please enquire with them re: whether they will or won't recognise this course to add to your certification.

  • 06:30 AM -  Kriyas (cleansing)

  • 07:00 AM - Pranayama class 

  • 09:30 AM - Brunch

  • 11:00 AM - Vedic study/Yoga Philosophy

  • 02:00 PM - Mid-day light snack

  • Time for Reflection or Free time 

  • 04:00 PM - Pranayama class

  • 06:00 PM - Dinner

  • 07:30 PM - Meditation

  • 09:30 PM - Return to room and lights out

Your facilitators for this course will be Radhika Gupta - Canberra's leading yoga teacher with more than 15 years of experience in teaching yoga and pranayama - and Mohan Vilas Das - a monk at ISKCON Mumbai, India with more than a decade of experience in teaching yoga philosophy and scriptures.   • Accommodation for 6 nights in our retreat centre (Govardhan Eco Village)

    • Accomodation at Govardhan Ecovillage is equipped to provide you the mesmerising experience of living in nature without compromising the basic comforts of modern life.

    • The stay here is characterised by healthy living amidst serene natural environment to heighten your journey to explore the inner peace.

    • The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable and modern conveniences such as air-conditioning, heating, electric kettles, etc. are provided in each room.

    • All rooms have two single beds with an attached, private bathroom. House-keeping is provided daily. Rooms are available as twin-share or single occupancy (at an additional charge - please see details below).

    • The Ecovillage has multiple yoga and meditation halls, study areas, an Ayurveda wellness and massage centre and much more. Laundry service is also available. 

  • 2 x wholesome, healthy and delicious vegetarian meals daily (brunch & dinner) 

  • All Yoga, Pranayama, Kriya, and Meditation sessions, and, all Yogic scriptural & philosophy lessons.

  • All textbooks that will be used during the course. You will receive your personal set of textbooks that you will be able to take home with you at the conclusion of the course.

Retreat will take place in Kollam - located on India’s Malabar coast in the state of Kerala - a place of idyllic beauty, nestled amidst coconut groves, lakes and serene backwaters.​
